Poor Richard's Antiques
While on vacation in northern Wisconsin we happened to run across Poor Richard’s Antiques in Spooner. We have a cabin to decorate so we thought we would pay a visit and look for some cabiney outdoorsy stuff. I did not expect to find such an amazing and unusual collection of “stuff”. We roamed around for an hour just looking in all of the rooms and buildings, it reminded me of my Grandmothers basement. We found a few items for the cabin and I made the decision to come back the next day to shoot some photos. This place is perfect for HDR photography and I couldn’t wait to come back. Here is the collection of Poor Richard’s HDR photos, I hope you enjoy!
Guatemala Mission Trip
My Wife and I had the distinct pleasure of joining 10 other friends from our church on a mission trip to Quatemala a few weeks ago. We spent our time painting and building furniture for a community that has been displaced because of landslides caused by recent a Hurricane. It was a week of hard but also very rewarding work. We just hope that in some small way we have made their lives better. We were struck by how happy and determined the people of this area are even in the face of very difficult living challenges.
The gallery in this post is a collection of the photos that I took on this trip. There are a very large number of images here and not all are “artistic” in nature. The gallery is posted so that the members of our trip and our church can get a glimpse of the work and the week that we spent in Guatemala. Being a photographer, I did have time to take some more artistic photographs including many HDR images (Here). I hope you enjoy.

Midwest Classics Car Show
One of the subjects I have always wanted to try HDR photography on has been cars. I don’t mean your average car parked on the street. I am talking about the shiny, tricked out, chrome infested collector type car. Well as luck would have it the final Madison Classics car show of the year was happening this weekend and my friend and I decided to head out and take a look. This gallery includes some of the results from that days photography. I hope you like it.

The autum produce is starting to pour in at the Dane County Farmers Market. Apples and squash are making an early apperance this year. I needed to add some of these delicious items to my portfolio. You can view some of the photos here.

The Potter's Shed - Shell Lake WI, July 2010
While on vacation this summer in Hayward WI, we payed a visit to the Potter’s Shed in Shell Lake. While we waited for some of our group to finish their custom designed pottery, I wondered around and took these HDR photographs. It was an overcast day which seems to work best when shooting for HDR. I hope you enjoy them.
